Stella McCartney launches L.I.L.Y Fragrance 

 

I love that both lily of the valley and truffles only come out at one time during the year.' The fragrance becomes a balancing act; a journey that begins in the radiant brightness of spring and leads you to the rich, dark, more masculine earthiness of autumn. It is a very textured fragrance, magnetic and sensual, capturing the tension when two contrasting moments come together.

 

At the same time L.I.L.Y is never overpowering, it adapts to the person who wears it. 'It's not a fragrance where someone is dictating a smell and putting a brand on you. L.I.L.Y belongs to you. You own it'

 

For L.I.L.Y, Stella McCartney worked with Jacques Cavallier, the master perfumer who collaborated with her to create STELLA Eau de Parfum. He remembers, 'Stella wanted a fragrance that redefined the extremely natural and fresh image of lily of the valley. To create more depth, we infused it with notes of truffle from the Perigord region of France, adding a diffuse, caressing texture.'

 

Top notes evoke the rich, mineral freshness of truffle. Heart notes of green and luminous lily of the valley create an irresistible addition. Base notes reveal the earthy warmth of oak moss.
