    Eastpak launches new retail concept #madeforlondon

    Lifestyle brand Eastpak has announced the launch of #madeforlondon, a future thinking retail and social experience located in the heart of Shoreditch. The store will showcase exclusive Eastpak products through innovative new retail technology, and will host a programme of exciting events and film screenings until December 29, 2014. Open seven days a week, #madeforlondon will be offering a unique retail experience, with revolutionary technology including the Perch interactive product table, allowing visitors to browse the Eastpak product catalogue through lifelike visuals. Touch screen pads will be on hand so shoppers can select their perfect bag from exclusive pre-released products from the spring/summer 2015 collection. If products are unavailable to buy in store, a complimentary 24 hour express service will be offered for UK delivery. The store will also feature a tunnel area that will be transformed by local artist Richard Fairhead, who will add to this ever evolving artwork regularly throughout the store’s tenure. His final creation is set to be auctioned off, with proceeds going to a local arts charity. The #madeforlondon pop-up will host the 4th annual Eastpak Artist Studio collection this week (see Fashion and Beauty Insight Events) showcasing 16 of the world’s most renowned designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, MSGM and Manolo Blahnik who have each created a one-off piece using the classic Eastpak Padded Pak’r as their blank canvas. These works of art are to be auctioned online on December 1, with proceeds going to charitable organisation Designers Against AIDS.
