Chosen for a third season in a row to receive COTTON USA’s highly coveted LFW sponsorship, Steinmetz will benefit from the programme that has helped emerging designers such as Meadham Kirchoff and Preen to showcase their talent, and bring their creations to life through the use of US cotton. This season Steinmetz has once again evolved her collection with the help of COTTON USA, not only drawing from modern art and sculpture as inspiration, but by bringing this to life through presenting at the home of historic and contemporary art, TATE Britain. This season’s collection sees traces of iconic art and modern sculpture, interpreted through a highly conceptual use of cotton, where audiences will see the visionary blend into the wearable.
