This month sees the launch of a limited edition collection from Villeroy & Boch. Available exclusively at Harrods, the collection consists of crystal bowls, lanterns and vases. The new Lumiere Pure glass concept consists of nine hand-blown pieces made of the finest crystal and embellished with elegant crystal cuts. Only 300 of each design have been created, each bearing the signature of the glassmaker and glasscutter who made it. Using the brand’s 170 years of glassblowing expertise, each piece is crafted in two stages, which involves significantly more time and attention than traditional crystal making practices. A variety of cutting techniques have been applied to create this collection, including surface grinding, tapered cutting, olive cutting and ball joint cutting. The collection is priced from £290 and available from Villeroy & Boch’s concession at Harrods.
