Zalando has announced the launch of its Photo Search feature in the UK. The new feature allows customers to take a picture of an item of clothing or a pattern, and search for similar items amongst the Zalando catalogue. The feature is available on iOS devices and will be rolled out on Android devices in the next few days. Developed in cooperation with technology partner Cortexica, the feature improves the mobile experience offered by the Zalando app, allowing customers to browse the over 1,500 brands that are available on Zalando in an innovative way. To further improve the shopping experience of its customers, Zalando will be integrating additional user-oriented features into the app in the near future; among these is Style Notes, an inspirational section featuring the latest trends, outfits, product highlights and more.
