    Dulux launches Let’s Colour Awards

Celebrating the designers, brands and products which make the world a brighter place, Britain’s leading paint brand is delighted to announce the launch of the inaugural Dulux Let’s Colour Awards.

With its own heritage rooted in colour, Dulux has established the awards to recognise an array of talent across the creative industries. Among the list of coveted awards is Best use of Colour in Fashion & Beauty which will reward original use of colour in the industry over the past year. Nominees include House of Holland, SISTER by Sibling and Olympic Nail Art by Sophy Robson.

To create the shortlist and decide upon the winners in this first year, Dulux has brought on board a stellar line-up of judges, each an expert in their field. Judges include Emily Johnston, Blogger of Fashion Foie Gras; Alex Box, Creative Director of cult make-up brand, Illamasqua; fashion stylist Richard Sloan; Amber Morales, Fashion Director at Daily Mirror; Ben Spriggs, Associate Editor at Sunday Times Style plus members of the Dulux Colour & Design team.

The other six categories include homes and interiors, arts to technology and design and beyond. The Contribution to Colour award will honour an individual or company which has made a lasting impact on the British public through exceptional use of colour. Fashion designer Louise Gray joins colour-champion blog, Bright Bazaar and Dutch design duo, Scholten & Baijings as just a few of the nominees up for the prestigious prize.

Marianne Shillingford, Dulux Creative Director, says of the launch: “Colour is a powerful tool in communicating personality, mood and expression and inspires us all in different ways.

We believe the people who inspire us through original use of colour deserve to be applauded and we hope the awards will encourage others to be equally creative with colour, whether they are an established company or a start-up designer.”

The Dulux Let’s Colour Awards 2013 judges and nominees can all be seen on the awards website and the winners will be announced in February 2013, with a night of celebrations that will see a host of colourful and creative industry experts in attendance.
