Outdoor performance brand Merrell appoints UK PR

    Brandnation has been appointed by Merrell to handle its UK PR activity. Brandnation will be working to a wide ranging brief which will include trade and consumer media across product, ambassador and sponsorship event activation. Founded in 1981, Merrell is renowned for performance footwear and has since expanded its product range and categories to accommodate The New Outdoor. Brandnation will be underlining Merrell’s outdoor heritage and expertise surrounding all of the brand’s footwear and apparel categories – hike, trail, run, walk and lifestyle. The brief encompasses both men’s and women’s categories. In addition, Brandnation will look to capitalise media surrounding Merrell’s ambassadors known as The Pack including recent signings Jake Thompsett, (fell runner, climber and mountaineer), Faith Shorney (ultra-runner, triathlete, and intrepid adventurer) and Sean MacFarlane (off road long distance triathlete and adventure racer). Sponsorships include the Man V Mountain event in September and the brand’s association with National Parks.
