woman&home announces the winners of the Amazing Women Awards 2019 in association with Hotter shoes

woman&home has announced the winners of the Amazing Women Awards 2019 in association with Hotter shoes.

The Awards recognise women aged 50-plus from all walks of life who are achieving amazing things – from role models who are breaking the glass ceiling, social and tech geniuses, entrepreneurs and celebrities doing good, to those making a difference in their communities. Inspiring women who appear on the winners list include Strictly Come Dancing judge, Shirley Ballas for the support she offers the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably); Anne Boden, MBE, the founder of Starling Bank; award-winning producer and screenwriter Debbie Horsfield, who writes strong female characters for TV and supports new talent in the industry; and Minette Batters, the first female president of the National Farmers Union.

Championing the unsung heroes in our communities, this year the three reader-nominated and voted categories were sponsored by Hotter. Readers were called on to nominate someone they knew who deserved to be recognised for going the extra mile for charity, improving the environment or caring for others. Nominations and votes received more than doubled in comparison to last year’s campaign. The brand also sponsors the Hotter Don’t Tell Me I Can’t award, this year awarded to a model in her 50s breaking into the industry.
