National newspaper The Independent has announced the closure of its print publication to move to a digital-only future. The Independent’s last paper edition is expected on March 26, with the last Independent on Sunday expected on March 20. ESI Media has also confirmed that it will sell i newspaper to Johnston Press, subject to Johnston Press shareholder approval.
