Midlands Fashion Awards 2017 has announced call for entries. Now in its 10th year the annual Midlands Fashion Awards (MFA) promotes, celebrates and supports fashion talent from the Midlands and its surrounding areas. This year’s categories include: Independent Fashion Designer of the Year, Emerging Designer of the Year, Accessory Designer of the Year, Young Fashion Designer of the Year (Graduates), Professional Hair Stylist of the Year, Rising Star Award (Hairstylists), Professional Make-up Artist of the Year, Rising Star Award (Make-up Artist), Professional/Non-professional Fashion Stylist of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year and Model of the Year. Each category will be judged by a panel of industry experts from leading fashion organisations, hair and make-up experts, fashion stylists, emerging photographers, model agencies and retailers. Judges will assess all entries based on submitted images and completed entry forms using a points system to score and select the finalists to go forward to the awards show in October 2017. Category winners will gain a Midlands Fashion Award Trophy of Excellence, catwalk exposure, mentoring opportunities from industry professionals, promotion and exposure in the press and social media alongside the opportunity to network and collaborate. Previous MFA winners and participants have gone on to showcase at Fashion Week’s around the globe as well as gain prestigious press coverage and stockists.
