Aedes de Venustas has announced the launch of its Pélargonium fragrance. Described by the creator as a ‘strikingly elegant still life in scent’ Pélargonium is the eighth fragrance from Aedes de Venustas. Showcasing an unexpected flower against a dusky, smoky background of resins and woods, Pélargonuim portrays its namesake ingredient in the manner of a mysterious bouquet from a painting of the Dutch Golden Age. The inspiration for this elegant new scent is a very special variety of geranium, Pelargoium graveolens. Notes include orris, cedar wood, Haitian vetiver, guaiac wood, moss, cardamom, Calbrian bergamot, carrot, clary sage, elemi resin, geranium and musk. Pélargonium is available exclusively at Selfridges priced £210 for 100ml EDP.
