ASH collaborates with Filip Pagowski
Footwear brand ASH has announced its collaboration with illustrator and graphic designer, Filip Pagowski. The ASH X FILIP PAGOWSKI special edition capsule collection features limited edition trainers for men and women decorated in artwork designed by artist Filip Pagowski, exclusively for ASH. To kick off the launch, ASH has partnered with retailer 10 Corso Como in Milan, to showcase the collection with a special installation. Known for his light-hearted biomorphic forms and quirky illustrations, Pagowski has worked with internationally-renowned fashion houses, brands, publications and design companies including Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, French newspaper Le Monde and The New York Times. He also created the now iconic heart logo for Japanese fashion house Comme des Garçons PLAY collection. The collaboration began with several best-selling ASH sneaker styles, which were personally selected by Pagowski as a canvas for his artwork. He then created two very distinct designs for the collection – the more youthful and playful ‘Flame’, and the fashion-forward, graphic ‘Tweed’. Pagowski also designed custom shoe boxes for these limited-edition items. Launching at a later date, are a series of additional products including T-shirts, socks, bags and pouches, which can be mixed and matched according to an individual’s personal style. The collection will be available at select retailers in Europe, all four London based ASH stores as well as online from 26 September.
