Sebastian Professional has announced the launch of its new TOTEMIC Collection. Inspired by a creative blending of traditional customs and crafts from across the globe, the collection features a host of bold, new looks. Global Artistic Directors, Michael Polsinelli and Shay Dempsey, examined these crafts and deconstructed them, looking for ways to create something completely new. They came up with a range of new techniques including Curve Skimming that consists of opening spaces in the hair and then removing some mass with the cutting blade to ultimately create soft feather-like layers, Melted Clay that helps create soft, malleable, shiny surfaces thanks to Craft Clay, Roping that is used to create ropy, textured looks, and Re-Fabricate that consists of creating exaggerated shapes. These new styling techniques formed the basis for nine new TOTEMIC-inspired looks. To enable these new techniques and help stylists reinvent the TOTEMIC Collection looks and create their own new-to-the-eye looks, Sebastian is introducing new accessories and new ways to use four of Sebastian’s top products. The new offerings include a Feather Razor and Sebastian Flat Irons. The Sebastian products used in new ways to deliver the TOTEMIC looks include Mousse Forte (£20.50), Re-Shaper (£16.50), Craft Clay (£17.20) and Thickefy Foam (£21.50).
