Lifestyle brand New Era has announced the launch of its 1996 Collection with New York filmmaker, Spike Lee, as part of the on-going New Era Heritage Series. The collection consists of four caps in navy and scarlet red. Two of the four caps are made of 100% wool (£35) and the other two in 100% leather (£60), each with the signature 1996 World Series side patch, New Era flag logo and MLB silhouetted batter logo to the rear. All of the caps are lined with silk carrying Spike’s repeated signature, and the infamous ‘A Spike Lee Joint’ sign-off is stitched into the inner sweatband. Each cap is presented in a limited edition red case to celebrate a re-mastered edition of the 1996 iconic Yankees cap. The collection will be premiering in Europe on July 17 at a press event (see Fashion Insight Events) and globally on July 24 across selected stockists including Size? as well as New Era Retail stores in London, Berlin, Paris, Frankfurt and Birmingham and online at neweracap.eu.
