Shoreditch-based consumer and B2B PR agency, Woodthorpe Comms, has announced two new client wins in October. Woodthorpe Comms has been appointed to handle press and public relations for Cherry London, a global marketing agency specialising in brand partnerships. Founded in 2009 by entrepreneur and CEO Tamara Gillan, Cherry London have created partnership campaigns for global brands including O2, Aviva and Superdrug. Woodthorpe’s remit includes establishing a thought leadership programme of activity, events, awards and content creation. Separately, Scottish woollen tweed tailoring specialist Walker Slater has appointed Woodthorpe Comms to manage PR for the brand throughout the UK and Europe. Walker Slater specialise in blending heritage and modern with a strong focus on integrity. Using hand-picked fabrics from the Hebrides to the Scottish Borders, the company produces quality, timeless clothing and accessories for men and women.The team at Woodthorpe Comms has also expanded with the appointment of Jo McConnell as Associate Director. In addition, Fiona Bond and Ashely Wilson have joined the team as PR consultants. Laura Ivory also joins the team as Junior Account Executive.
