MR PORTER appoints Buying Director and Editorial Director
MR PORTER has announced the appointments of Fiona Firth as Buying Director and Andrew Barker as Editorial Director. Fiona will join the retail destination from men’s style from River Island where she was Menswear Buying Director. Previously Menswear Head of Buying and Merchandising at Harvey Nichols, she has also held roles at Burton and Harrods. At MR PORTER, Fiona will report to Managing Director Toby Bateman and will lead the buying and merchandising teams, and more than 400 brands across menswear, travel and lifestyle, fine watches, and sport. Andrew joins from The Business of Fashion where he is currently Executive Editor. Prior to this he was Editor of the London-based Evening Standard magazine, ES, for a distinguished five year career. At MR PORTER, Andrew will report to Brand and Content Director Jeremy Langmead. He will be responsible for continuing MR PORTER’s editorial vision across the online weekly magazine, The Journal, and The MR PORTER Post, a broadsheet newspaper published six times a year. Both Fiona and Andrew will be based in the London HQ with Fiona starting in April and Andrew in May 2016, respectively.
