Head of Womenswear at McQ, Alexander McQueen launches own label
After seven years at Stella McCartney, time spent as Design Director at Alexander Wang, Head of Show Collection at Pucci, and most recently Head of Womenswear at McQ, Alexander McQueen, Carli Pearson is launching her own label, CIMONE on the Fashion Scout catwalk over London Fashion Week. Following on from her AW16 collection, the SS17 ready-to-wear range will be laced with Carli’s signature: confidence, irreverence and fun with a refined and considered edge. This season’s offering features free flowing exaggerated movements, overblown voluminous shapes, and a tactile fabric mix. Coarse textures are worn alongside glossy plastics and light silks and fine pleating are shown amidst heavy utilitarian detailing. A subtle and muted whitewash will be brought to life with a vibrant injection of juxtaposed bold primary colour, appearing as splashes and stripes.
