    Ben Sherman appoints new CEO and re-structures the leadership team
     
    Since November 2012, Tom Chubb, CEO and President of Oxford industries, has been acting as CEO for Oxford’s Ben Sherman Group. Mr. Chubb is pleased to announce that Mark Maidment has been appointed the new CEO of Ben Sherman Group. Mr. Maidment has been with Ben Sherman since 2002 and served as its Creative Director since 2005, with responsibilities that have included oversight of the brand’s product design and marketing. In recent years, Mr. Maidment has played a key role in creating a more modern identity for the Ben Sherman brand, repositioning the brand into more premium channels of distribution, and developing more upscale product collections. As CEO of Ben Sherman Group, Mr. Maidment will report directly to Mr. Chubb.
     
     
    Alongside this appointment, Lindsay Dunsmuir, who has been serving as the brand’s Finance Director, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Ben Sherman Group. In this role, Mr. Dunsmuir will oversee all aspects of Ben Sherman’s finance and operations. In addition, Peter Lawley has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer for Ben Sherman Group, continuing his responsibility for global wholesale, merchandising, licensing and customer services.
     
    Other key appointments have also been made to the leadership team over the last 12 months. Scott Wakefield, the most recent hire and formerly from Calvin Klein, has been appointed Retail Director; Colin Naylor, formerly from Diesel, has been tasked to grow international sales under his remit as International Sales Director; and George Clark, formerly from Jack Wills, has been charged with growing the brand’s digital presence as Ecommerce Director.
