Ridgemont Adventure Outfitters has appointed Ally Barr to handle the sales responsibility for Ridgemont in the UK & Ireland. Ally has a wealth of experience introducing and establishing active lifestyle sports brands such as Quiksilver, Billabong, Ocean Pacific and Reef. Based in Long Beach, California, Ridgemont has put together a range of shoes using waxed canvas, high-grade leathers and oiled suedes. The men’s shoe collection premiered in the UK this summer, with bag, apparel and ladies’ collections due to appear in later seasons. Ridgemont Adventure Outfitters has a comprehensive marketing strategy in place that includes working with brand ambassadors such as Sir James Mallinson, Justin Reynolds, and Charley Boorman. Other initiatives include a social media campaign driven by gap year students in conjunction with The Leap, a gap year adventure company.
