Jewellery consortium Houlden Group has unveiled the names of the finalists shortlisted for its first Bridal Design of the Year competition, taking place at the forthcoming Jewellery & Watch Birmingham event. The competition, sponsored by Houlden Group and in association with Jewellery & Watch Birmingham, was open to all designers and manufacturers exhibiting at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham. Entrants were asked to design an engagement and wedding ring set which will be exhibited by Houlden members at various locations throughout the year. There are seven finalists split into two categories. Category 1: Retail price £1,500 to £3,000 finalists include Poppy Stevens, Waves; Fei Liu, Lily of the Valley; and Fei Liu, Aurora. Category 2: Retail price £3,000 to £5,000 finalists include Shona Marsh, Albany; Siobhan Maher, Treasured Moments; Lee Ruben, Fashionista; and Juraj Vyrostek, Morning Dew. All finalists’ drawings and designs may be viewed online and the winners will be announced on the catwalk at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham on February 3 during a champagne reception.
