abercrombie kids opens first UK flagship
abercrombie kids, a division of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., will open its first flagship store in the UK, on Savile Row, this Saturday, August 30 at 10:00. Built in 1733, 3 Savile Row is famous for being the home to the Beatles’ Apple Records headquarters and is also where they recorded most of their album, Let It Be. The abercrombie kids store resides across the street from the Abercrombie & Fitch flagship store, and showcases three levels of clothing and accessories for boys and girls, in addition to iconic memorabilia that pays homage to Apple Records and The Beatles. Glass heritage cases at the entrance of the store feature photos, books, records, and a guitar signed by Sir Paul McCartney. All levels have been carefully renovated with particular attention paid to the ground and main floor areas. In collaboration with English Heritage, they were restored to their original historic architecture with wood paneling, ceiling details, and paint finishes. New trend lookbooks can be viewed on the abercrombie kids website showcasing the latest trends for girls and boys. Some of the fun themes this season are Black & White, Sun Chaser, and Sparkle & Shine. Later this year, abercrombie kids will be hosting an event at the Savile Row kids store in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Children’s Charity. In honor of the evening, Abercrombie & Fitch will make a donation of £25,000 that will be given to the charity to help rebuild and refurbish Great Ormond Street Hospital, provide vital up-to-date equipment and fund research into better treatments for children across the UK.
