April sees the launch of the Mimosa Candle from Acqua di Parma. This hand-made, Italian limited edition scented candle, forms part of the Fruit & Flowers collection. The flame burns slowly spreading floral notes of mimosa, freesia and violet with bright accents of amber, vanilla and musk. The purity of the wax and the lengthy process of creating the candle by hand ensure the candles burn from the inside, for up to 60 hours, without damage to the original shape. The creation of every candle is entrusted to the careful skill of a single craftsman who looks after the entire production process. The finest waxes, pigments and essential oils are mixed at a high temperature, poured into moulds and left to cool for 12 hours. This process produces the candle’s core which is then completed by the addition of the wick which is centrally placed, before the candle is put into a larger case. Individual mimosa flowers are placed onto the surface of the candle and a sheer layer of wax is created to coat the flowers, allowing the pattern to show through.
