WHO’S NEXT Prêt-à-Porter Paris & Arts Thread Graduate Competition opens for applications

Graduate competition THE FUTURE OF FASHION by WHO’S NEXT Prêt-à-Porter Paris & ARTS THREAD, returns for SS14 to help launch the careers of 10 designers in July 2013. Bringing together an array of professionals from the industry, WHO’S NEXT Prêt-à-Porter Paris is the biggest international fashion trade show in Europe providing 55,000 buyers and visitors a clear, comprehensive and coherent view of what is on offer in the ready-to-wear and accessories markets. For the fourth season in a row, WHO’S NEXT Prêt-à-Porter Paris is collaborating with Arts Thread, running a competition for young international graduates to win the opportunity to showcase a collection at this years show. Arts Thread, a platform devoted to young graduates from international fashion schools, have contacted over 50 leading colleges, inviting them all to take part in the competition for 2013. The graduate collections will be judged by a panel including Dean Mayo Davies (Features Editor, Dazed & Confused), Bruno Collin (Editor-In-Chief, WAD), Hélène Hanum (Buyer for Fenwick, Lambert & Associates) and Philippe Corbin (Founder & Designer, Leon & Harper). The fashion industry and press will be invited to judge the graduates collections who have until May 13 to upload their portfolios on the Arts Thread website. The 10 winners will then be revealed on May 29 and go on to showcase their most recent collection at WHO’S NEXT Prêt-à-Porter Paris from July 6-9.
