Ayten Gasson launches new ethical lingerie line
Lingerie brand Ayten Gasson has announced the launch of a new ethical lingerie line. The Alexia collection features organic black peace silk combined with cotton Nottingham leavers lace. Peace silk is ethical and cruelty free because it allows the silkworm to emerge out of the cocoon naturally. Fibres from the damaged cocoon are then spun together forming a silk which has a luxurious feel, with a raw appearance. Both the peace silk and the cotton lace that Ayten Gasson use have been produced in the UK, in keeping with their ethos of embracing as much of the UK fashion industry as possible. Each piece has been made in the UK in their Brighton based studio. Key pieces from the collection include a non wired bra, a risqué knicker with keyhole detailing and a ribbon tie eye mask. Prices start from £22 to £58 with all pieces available online.
