    Beauty Shortlist Awards

2013 Beauty Shortlist Awards to be held on 15 March

“Feel Good Beauty” will be the headline theme of this year’s Beauty Shortlist Awards which will highlight the connection between beauty and wellbeing, with a particular focus on eco-luxury, spa-style and ‘mind, body, beauty’ brands and products.

A number of new categories will be announced in the coming weeks, including a special Fairtrade Beauty Award. Three products will be shortlisted in each category and shortlisted brands in the main categories will be revealed prior to the actual Awards on Friday 15 March.

“The entries this year are going to be tougher to judge,” said Fiona Klonarides, editor of The Beauty Shortlist www.thebeautyshortlist.com. “The facial oil/serum and cleanser categories are fiercely competitive, for example. I think 2013 will be a big year ‘for sleep-better-stress-less’ aromatherapy, spa and green brands, as we look for a safe harbour against the grey background of the economy. We want to sleep better, feel better, look better.”

The winners of last year’s Awards, themed “Best of British”, included Oskia (Best British Skincare Brand), Neals Yard Remedies (Best Natural/Organic Brand), REN (Best Day Moisturiser), Skinesis by Sarah Chapman (Best Night Treatment) and British fragrance designer Jo Malone’s new brand Jo Loves (Best New Fragrance Launch).

Entries have now closed in all categories except for: Best Intensive Therapy Hand Cream, Best Bath Oil, Best Tinted Moisturiser, Best Lip Treatment and Best Mascara. The deadline for receipt of samples, strictly in these categories only, is Wednesday 23 January.
