Global fashion retailer boohoo.com has announced its support of Graduate Fashion Week and their Fashion Innovation Award. The Award addresses the more ‘cutting edge’ developments associated with emerging design technologies. Design and technology has become an integral part of our everyday lives and is a powerful catalyst for change and development. In tandem with this, consumer tastes and expectations have become more complex and so boohoo is challenging the students to create a fashion product that pushes the boundaries and challenges existing technological approaches. The winner will be chosen by boohoo joint CEO Carol Kane and will receive a cash prize for themselves and their University. Throughout Graduate Fashion Week, boohoo will also be hosting HR workshops offering support to students on how to improve their CVs and advice about assessment centres, interviews and how to excel. Carol Kane will also be speaking at the GFW Live Stage and telling her story of working her way up from being a fashion designer to becoming the CEO of a global e-commerce company.
