Bridal designer Sarah Janks has announced the launch of her first shapewear line, Smooth & Slim. Designed to offer brides a breathable, lightweight and elegant solution to shapewear, the collection combines technical design and function with seamless knitting technology and feminine cuts. Created in response to brides in search of supportive, flattering underwear that will remain hidden with a low-back dress, the collection uses quality fibres, knitting technology and perfected hemlines in the right place to ensure that each piece almost disappears under gowns, even with unforgiving silks and fabrics that are often prone to showing undergarments’ lines. An elastic lycra restraining band on the waist helps to accentuate the hourglass figure, while strong and sheer silicon straps are set wide apart so as to disappear under solid silk, sheer tulle and lace illusion dresses. The full collection features a bralette, slip dress, bodysuit, and shorts in both a high and mid-rise option. All pieces are made from the sheerest of breathable fabrics. Retail prices start from £72.
