Luxury British scarf label C F McEwan has appointed Nadia PR to handle its PR activity. C F McEwan offers a series of luxury printed scarves made using natural fabrics including silk, hemp and bamboo. The brand was created by textile artist and designer Clare McEwan, who experiments with photography, printing, mark making and sculpting to combine traditional and digital techniques. The spring / summer 2014 collection is made up of eight distinctive designs including Velvet, Refract, Shell, Sheer, Mosaic, Pi, Tiger Stripes and Square Wall. Over three months, Clare selected one material at a time and photographed the series of changes presented. Their titles emerged as the imagery developed, creating eight distinctive scarf designs each describing a material’s story, the effect of lighting, sculpting and layering with a range of sources. Hot pinks and deep purples contrast with cooler hues of blue, grey and dusty pinks this season. The artwork is printed onto a lustrous and lightweight 100% silk crepe de chine in square and oblong shapes. C F Mc Ewan scarves are available in stores and art gallery shops nationwide with prices ranging between £85 – £185.
