Christian Louboutin collaborates with Angelina Jolie
Luxury footwear label Christian Louboutin has announced a collaboration with Angelina Jolie. The partnership sees the creation of a new shoe to mark the release of Disney’s Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie. The limited-edition shoe, named Malangeli, features a sculpted heel that curls away from the wedge sole like a tendril of smoke. Its patent leather body enshrouds a nude mesh base, further promoting an illusion of magic. The shoes were handcrafted in Louboutin’s Paris atelier. This limited edition style is available in black and red patent leather through pre-order at five Christian Louboutin flagship boutiques worldwide from October 20. Profits from sales will benefit SOS Children’s Villages, the world’s largest organisation dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children. Supported by Angelina Jolie since 2003, SOS Children’s Villages provides stable, loving homes, as well as education, medical and outreach programs, which help make a positive impact on the lives of over 1 million people each year.
