Clarins has announced the launch of Multi-Active Day Cream and Multi-Active Night Cream in a renewed formula. Multi-Active Day Cream (£42) has been reformulated using myrothamnus, a South African plant with the ability to tolerate extremely dry conditions of its natural habitat. During the process of dessication the plant’s cells produce a substance called trehalose which allows them to rehydrate. In turn this helps protect dermal cells from harmful effects of stress and prevent cell ageing. Fine lines appear visibly smoothed and skin appears more toned. Multi-Active Night Cream (£44) has been reformulated with California Poppy. The extract helps to stimulate the synthesis of collagen and fight the harmful effects of free radicals in the skin. Skin appears visibly smoothed and more toned upon waking. Available February 2016.
