Condé Nast Traveller to launch journalism course

Condé Nast Traveller has announced that the inaugural Condé Nast Traveller Journalism Course, in association with Nikon, will take place in January 2014. The two-day writing and photography workshop will give attendees an in-depth insight into the world of travel journalism and will be hosted by Condé Nast Traveller’s editor Melinda Stevens. Other key speakers will include Nicholas Coleridge, President of Condé Nast International; Giles Foden, author of The Last King of Scotland; Martin Morrell, award-winning travel photographer; and Tony Cross, Executive Editor of cntraveller.com. Highlights of the course will include one-on-one appraisals by Condé Nast Traveller features and photographic editors, an intensive workshop with Nikon, Q&A sessions, drinks and networking opportunities at a London hotel. Attendees will be taught how to pitch a story, improve their contacts, get ahead of the competition, make their photography exceptional, get on the digital ladder and use social media to their advantage. The Condé Nast Traveller Journalism Course will take place at Vogue House in London from January 25-26, 2014. The course is open to anyone over the age of 18 and costs £550.
