Petit Bateau, a brand of the privately-owned Rocher Group, and Fung Kids Limited, part of privately owned Fung Retailing Limited in Hong Kong, have announced a distribution partnership to open retail stores in China for the Petit Bateau’s babies and children’s apparel brand. Patrick Pergament, chief executive officer of Petit Bateau, said: “We are thrilled about this collaboration with an experienced retail partner who will open China’s doors to us. We are confident that Chinese mothers will quickly recognise the exceptional quality of our clothes for their children.” Babies and children’s wear is a fast-growing segment in China’s market. Petit Bateau’s first shops in China will open in 2015 in Beijing, Shanghai and Qingdao.
