Pravera, UK-based distributors in the natural and organic skincare and cosmetics sector, has announced it has signed a UK distribution deal with FairSquared. With strong ethical and fair trade credentials, FairSquared is already known in its home market Germany and recently launched in Sweden and Holland. The range includes vegan condoms as well as affordable and certified organic toiletries, including body butters, shower gels and shaving oils. The brand will be part of the Pravera brand portfolio from December 1. UK retail prices range from £4.95 to £18.95 (trade prices range from £2.75 to £10.53). As it is part of Pravera’s ethos to only distribute brands which are certified natural or organic (when possible), FairSquared agreed to reformulate its range to achieve the NaTrue organic certification for its toiletries. The FairSquared condoms contain natural, fair trade rubber, but are not certified organic as certified ‘organic rubber’ doesn’t exist (due to costs to certify all the small rubber producers). Initially, FairSquared launches with 30 products in the UK, consisting of a range of shower gels, body care, hand care, shampoo, shaving products, lip care products, baby care and condoms.
