Homeless charity The Connection at St Martin’s has announced the opening of the One Good Thing pop-up shop in London’s Berwick Street on March 2. Encouraging the public to unclutter their wardrobes and donate quality fashion items to help the homeless, One Good Thing will sell designer and vintage clothing, silk scarves, jewellery, leather handbags, pictures, ornaments, antiques and china. All profits will go towards helping London’s homeless people move their lives away from the street. In addition to raising vital funds, One Good Thing will provide homeless people from The Connection with volunteering placements giving them the chance to gain valuable retail experience by working in the shop, equipping them with the relevant skills to progress into future work. Berwick Street stores including Percival, Universal Works and Soho Bikes have already come together to show their support by donating quality fashion items to the shop. The shop opens to the public on March 2-31.
