Julie Deane OBE, Founder and CEO of The Cambridge Satchel Company has today launched a survey targeted at all those who are self employed nationwide. The survey aims to reach as many of the estimated 4.5 million self-employed in the UK as possible to understand how they might be better supported to start, maintain and grow their businesses. Julia was appointed by Prime Minister David Cameron in July to run an independent review on self-employment within the UK. The results of the survey will be incorporated into Julia’s report to highlight the challenges and issues faced by the self-employed, particularly when trying to start or develop their business. The survey is hosted through the Department for Business, Skills & Innovation and will be open until November 8, 2015. The survey is available here.
