    Fragrance Foundation Awards winners announced

    Winners of the 23rd annual Fragrance Foundation Awards were announced on May 14 at The Brewery in London. Compèred by TV news presenter Natasha Kaplinsky and attended by over 500 industry guests, The Fragrance Foundation presented Lucia van der Post with The Circle of Champions Award, a special initiative set up by The Fragrance Foundation to pay tribute to individuals who have made a notable and newsworthy contribution to the fragrance industry. There were 18 award categories and the evening culminated with the announcement that Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent had been chosen as Best New Fragrance for Women and Jimmy Choo Man had won the Best New Male Fragrance category. Other winners included: Best New Media Campaign: Female Fragrance – Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt; Best New Media Campaign: Male Fragrance – Dior Homme Eau for Men; Best New Design & Packaging – Female Fragrance: Bottega Veneta Knot; Best New Design & Packaging: Male Fragrance – Guerlain L’ʹHomme Idéal; Best New Home Fragrance – Jo Malone London Green Tomato Leaf Scented Candle; Best New Female Fragrance in Limited Distribution – Parfums Christian Dior Dior Rose Elixir Précieux; Best New Male Fragrance in Limited Distribution – Yves Saint Laurent Splendid Wood; Best New Independent Fragrance – Jack Perfume; Perfume Extraordinaire: Killian Light my Fire – Robertet; Readers’ Choice for Women – Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream; Readers’ Choice for Men – Jimmy Choo Man; Best New Celebrity Fragrance – One Direction You & I; People’s Choice for Women – Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream; People’s Choice for Men – Giorgio Armani Armani Code Ice; Retailer of the Year – Harrods; and Ultimate Launch – Cheryl StormFlower.
