Gingerlily, the silk bedding specialist, announces Casablanca: a new design created in partnership with acclaimed rug designer, Jennifer Manners. The first collaboration of its kind for Gingerlily, Casablanca is an understated yet impactful Autumn/Winter 2017 addition to the brand’s luxurious collection of pure mulberry silk bed linen. Conjuring a simple, sophisticated serenity and drawing upon the geometry for which classic Moorish patterns are known, Jennifer Manners has employed a printed stenciling technique that offers the design it’s defined, crisp repeated curves in white and blue. Regarding the collaboration, Jennifer Manners said, ‘Silk is the height of luxurious sumptuousness. Designing a pattern that could both honour the inherent qualities of silk yet reflect a distinctive, modern feel was an exciting opportunity. All of the pieces seem to move in a quietly elegant way, capturing old world glamour and simple modernity in the same moment.’ Casablanca comprises a selection of duvet covers and pillow cases priced from £90. The collection, which is accompanied by a silk rug designed and produced by Jennifer Manners, will be available exclusively at Harrods, London, for the first three months of its launch before being offered nationwide.
