Winners of the Graduate Fashion Week Awards were announced at The Old Truman Brewery last night. George at Asda selected Grace Weller as the 2014 winner of its George Gold Award. Grace wins a fully paid internship at George House working alongside George’s team of leading designers. Grace will see her collection through from design to production, and her pieces will stocked in store at George and online at George.com as part of the G21 Talent label. She will be joined by a handful of other graduates – to be announced in due course – to join the G21 Talent collective for 2015. In addition to this experience, she will also receive mentoring from George’s Vice President, Fiona Lambert, plus a £10,000 cash prize. Other winners on the night included: Aimee Dunn, Nottingham Trent University – Menswear Award; Rebecca Swann, Nottingham Trent University – Stuart Peters Visionary Knitwear Award; Camilla Grimes, Manchester School of Art – Creative Catwalk Award; Anna Grundy, University of Central Lancashire – Marketing Award; Shan Liao Huang, Shih Chien University – International Winner; and Charlotte England, Southampton University – George and Disney Collaboration.
