The 2014 Homes & Gardens Designer Awards were presented last night at the magazine’s annual champagne reception held at the British Museum, London, and hosted by Deborah Barker, editor-in-chief of Homes & Gardens. The Awards, now in their 16th year, celebrate Britain’s wealth of product and design talent and the significant contribution these designers have made within their field. The judging panel for this year’s Awards included Matthew Hilton, Nick Munro and Robin Levien; chaired by design writer Barbara Chandler. This year’s winners included Bathroom Designer: Fiona Barratt-Campbell, Kitchen Designer: Chris Egan, Surface Designer: Giles Miller – Brass Rosaic, Interior Designer: Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi, Furniture Designer: Alejandro Villarreal – Vitrina Collection for Hierve, Ceramics & Glassware Designer: Sue Pryke – Terracotta range, Product & Innovation designer: Paul Cocksedge – The Vamp, Young Designer: Lindsey Lang Retailer of the Year: CP Hart, Backer of British Design: British European Design Group, and Lifetime Achievement Award: Zeev Aram.
