Howling Moon PR has been appointed to handle press and PR for The Flock Collection from MOS Furniture, designers and makers of custom handmade furniture. From his workshop in the heart of the Lake District national park, Luke designs and builds one-off and small run items utilising the beauty of local timber wherever possible. Luke’s work and designs are influenced by the world and experiences around him and are not deliberately of a certain era or movement of design, although the clean shapes and proportions of art-deco often kindle the initial concept. After leaving University, Luke decided to train as a cabinet maker and eventually began his own company within his parents’ garage. Now, having moved to the Lake District from Essex with a new workshop, he has designed Flock – a new collection of contemporary home accessories alongside his successful and unique pieces of bespoke furniture. The Flock collection is a range of home accessories including shelving, lights, wine rack and picture frames all unified by edges highlighted with neon coloured flocking adding unique vibrancy to each piece. Flock is a soft suede-like material, created by electrostatically adhering coloured nylon fibres directly to the wood surface and adds a contemporary edge to the solid wood made pieces.
