Hunter has collaborated with Beauty Editor Isamaya Ffrench on a limited-edition collection of Hunter Original backpacks, each individually customized with one of five unique hand-drawn artworks. Reflecting the spirit of the Hunter brand and with a nod to our British sense of humour, Isamaya softened the technical nature of the backpacks with tongue-in-cheek artwork. Initially taking reference from traditional stained glass windows, Isamaya looked to contrast a range of different artistic styles, each complementing the next. References include prolific tourist paraphernalia of the 90s, with lists of capital cities covering the front of the backpack, alien invasion and musical notes. The collection will launch at Dover Street Market New York during fashion week, with a pop-up space showcasing the limited edition collection. They will also be available for pre-order on www.hunterboots.com from September 7. Shortly afterwards, they will also be available at the Dover Street Market London and Tokyo stores. The Original Rubberised Leather Backpack is crafted from high-quality leather finished with a waterresistant, rubberised coating. A new Hunter icon, it has quickly become one of the brand’s bestselling pieces. This is Hunter’s first in a series of collaborations celebrating the Original Backpack. The debut collection ‘Hunter x Isamaya Ffrench’ features four different colour ways (black, pink, yellow and orange), available in Large and Mini sizes.
