jane iredale reveals The 2017 College Programme Make-Up Competition winner
Mineral make-up brand jane iredale recently hosted The 2017 College Programme Make-Up Competition. The make-up artistry competition inspired more than 200 entries from all over the UK and Ireland. Student finalists visited jane iredale’s flagship London head office from April 3-5 where they received bespoke advanced training to create a makeup look with the theme of ‘Animals on Earth’. The students went head to head in a live final where they showcased their artistic creations with jane iredale’s judging panel comprised of Jane iredale’s Brand Manager Anushka Patel, the Head of College Programme Jennifer Edwards and make-up artist Melissa Constantindes who also hosts the popular make-up show ‘100% hotter’. The winning student, Anna Lumsden, received a make-up kit it worth £1,000 to help kick start her career and her college Guildford, also received £1,000 worth of jane iredale’s mineral cosmetic products to use as a training tool. Commenting on her inspiration behind the idea, Anna said, “I selected peacocks because they are my favourite bird. I love working with colour, so the peacock with its vibrant and uniquely patterned feathers provided the ideal inspiration for my look’. Jane iredale’s Brand Manager, Anushka Patel said, “We are extremely impressed with the calibre of entries this year; the interpretations of this year’s theme has been fantastic. It’s encouraging to see so much young talent within our industry, and the student competition is a really great way for us to showcase and celebrate that talent”. The iiaa College Programme continues to provide colleges and students with the resources, knowledge and tools to create industry-ready therapists.
