August sees the launch of Artisan Acqua from John Varvatos Fragrances. The fragrance is the result of a long-standing collaboration between Varvatos and Givaudan Senior Perfumer, Rodrigo Flores-Roux. The scent opens with top notes of tangelo, mandarin, paradisamide, galbanum, lentisque, and angelica root; heart notes of clary sage, lavender, coriander, toscanol, and basil; and base notes of moss, patchouli and fir balsam. The attention to detail and craftsmanship seen in John Varvatos garments and leather goods are brought to life in the fragrance packaging, with each bottle being hand-woven from natural materials for a one-of-a-kind creation. As with the original Artisan and Artisan Black scents, the hand-woven rattan bottle was inspired by the clean lines and casual elegance of a traditional flask, finished with an antiqued cap and artfully engraved tag. Artisan Acqua EDT is priced at £43 (75ml) and £60 (125ml) available exclusively in Debenhams and online from August 11.
