Kurt Geiger marks 50th anniversary with footwear college Cordwainers at London College of Fashion

 

Kurt Geiger has announced a three year commitment to commemorate 50 years of British shoe design and support the future of British footwear. To mark its Golden anniversary, Kurt Geiger has pledged funding, mentoring programs and scholarships to commence this year and celebrate 125 years of Cordwainers at London College of Fashion. The Kurt Geiger commitment to British innovation and design will also see the maintenance and growth of the Cordwainers college archive. The archive holds around 650 items with shoes dating back to the 1780s. Built as a teaching aid with the majority being British "fashion" footwear, the partnership will safeguard the legacy for future talent.
