Model Daisy Lowe has been announced as the first ambassador of London Fashion Weekend. The event offers curated shopping galleries from over 150 international and British brands, as well as catwalk shows by London Fashion Week designers. This season’s London Fashion Weekend line up will include catwalk shows by Peter Pilotto and House of Holland, with industry talks from Natalie Massenet MBE and Anya Hindmarch MBE with further names to be announced. Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive British Fashion Council said: “Daisy is a fantastic ambassador of British fashion. We have worked with her for many years and are delighted that she is joining the London Fashion Weekend team. This season is set to be both unmissable and unforgettable with names including Peter Pilotto, House of Holland, Natalie Massenet and Anya Hindmarch already on the line-up.” Daisy Lowe added: “I am so thrilled to be an ambassador for London Fashion Weekend, having worked with Caroline and the British Fashion Council over the years. London Fashion Weekend is such an amazing concept, giving people an opportunity to immerse themselves in the fashion world and encouraging visitors to get behind the UK’s incredible fashion industry and its designers.” The four-day showcase opens its doors on September 24, at the Saatchi Gallery, Duke of York Square on the King’s Road.
