The NatWest UK Fashion & Textile Awards are back for 2014, designed to celebrate the UK fashion industry. The event, run by The UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT), will recognise the creativity, innovation and success in the UK fashion industry at an awards gala on May 22, 2014, at East London’s Tobacco Dock. To mark the launch of the Awards, UKFT has teamed up with fashion photographer David Goldman to create an installation and photo shoot, which brings to life the essence and spirit of the Awards – as well creating as a full behind the scenes campaign providing exclusive access to the build-up and making of the Awards. New for 2014, the Brand Award will be split into four sub-categories, honouring British brands across menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and lingerie & beachwear. Entries are now open in the following categories: UKFT Rise Award, Accessories Award, Exporter Award, Textile Business Award, CapitB UKFT Let’s Make it Here Award, Designer Business Award, Brand Awards, Menswear, Womenswear, Childrenswear, Lingerie & Beachwear Award, Retailer Award and the NatWest UKFT Outstanding Achievement Award. The Awards are open to members and non-members of UKFT and can be entered online at ukftawards.org. The deadline for entries is February 28, 2014.
