British shoe label Oliver Sweeney partners with VeryFirstTo.com to launch limited edition bespoke shoes tattooed by Henry Hate. The collaboration will see celebrity tattoo artist, Henry Hate, tattoo a bespoke design on to any pair of Oliver Sweeney tan shoes at a total cost of £995. Launching on October 25, each pair will be personally tattooed by Henry with imagery to reflect the purchaser (or images of the purchaser’s choice) and accompanied by a certificate of authentication. Shoppers can choose from a range of footwear to have a custom (approved) tattoo design featured on the upper sole. From October 25 individuals are invited to visit VeryFirstTo.com to express their interest. They will then be invited to list: three characteristics that best define them; their favourite location in the world; and the person, animal or object that most inspires them. Henry Hate will use this to inspire the imagery he renders on the shoes. Alternatively they will be able to submit image references of their own. A donation of £50 from the sale of each shoe will be donated to The Amy Winehouse Foundation.
