Penhaligon’s launches the Trade Routes Collection
This September sees the launch of the Trade Routes Collection from Penhaligon’s. The collection comprises three new fragrances, each inspired by the luxurious and decadent commodities which were traded through London’s historic docks at the turn of the 19th Century. Lothair, created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, opens with top notes of red berries, juniper berry, cardamom, bergamot, grapefruit, fig leaf; heart notes of fig milk, lavender, magnolia, geranium, black tea; and base notes of vanilla, musks, cedarwood, ambergris, wenge, and oakmoss. Empressa, created by perfumer Mike Parrott, opens with top notes of blood orange, bergamot, mandarin; heart notes of peach, cassis, dewberry, rose, neroli, geranium, cardamom, pink pepper, black pepper; and base notes of vanilla pod, cocoa, frankincense, amber, musk, woods, patchouli, sandalwood, and maltol. Levantium, created by perfumer Christian de Provenzano, opens with top notes of bergamot, davana, saffron, absinthe; heart notes of rose, jasmine, violet, clove, cardamom, ylang ylang, peach; and base notes of amber, myrrh, guaiacwood, sandalwood, cedarwood, oud, patchouli, musk, maltol, and vanilla. The Trade Routes Collection from Penhaligon’s will launch in all UK Penhaligon’s boutiques and online on September 1 priced at £120 each.
