    Pingu reveals anniversary fashion line and appoints PR

    Pingu, the BAFTA award-winning TV character, is set to launch a new fashion line this month in the UK and France to celebrate 30 years since first hitting TV screens around the world. The capsule collection is in collaboration with British designers Phiney Pet and The Rodnik Band. Inspired by the cute iconography of Pingu and trend for 90s revival, The Rodnik Band’s collaboration of 30 pieces includes pop art inspired premium leather handbags and statement rucksacks, complimented with a selection of phone cases. The capsule collection from womenswear designer Phiney Pet, consisting of 18 pieces, fuses Pet’s eclectic style and Pingu’s nostalgic graphics in signature hand painted leathers, luxe faux furs and bold printed pinafores. The bright and unique collectors’ items will launch at Colette at the end of September with prices ranging from £30 for a phone case to £370 for bags and £80 to £1,000 for womenswear. The collections will also be available from www.phineypet.com and www.therodnikband.co.uk. Additionally, Nicole Levy PR has been appointed to handle all PR activity.
