Puffa announces the appointment of renowned street-wear designer and founder of Fly53 Will Rigg as Design and Brand Consultant. The appointment signals a new phase for the brand with a new autumn / winter 2014 collection incorporating more technical elements and contemporary designs. In his new role, Will is looking forward to “combining the heritage and technical elements with contemporary references of colour, shape and fabric development to bring the brand back to life, making it relevant for today whilst always retaining its rich heritage to keep it relevant for tomorrow.” The autumn / winter 2014 collection will feature an array of styles, including the Jasmine bomber jacket, hooded Alfie and similarly designed George from the men’s range. The popular parka coat reappears this season, with added detailing including extra pockets and new colourways such as grey and navy. In order to push the brand further into fashion territory, the men’s collection also features the Farringdon, a double layer 2-in-1 jacket. The women’s collection has similarly expanded with new colours and styles including hues of yellow, navy and grey and design elements such as high collars and tailored silhouettes. Additionally, the brand will collaborate with textile company Harris Tweed to create another collection for 2014, to include 16 women’s styles including biker and varsity jackets alongside 16 men’s pieces.
